Playform Studio Member Mattia Cuttini Joins Dynamo Camp for a Day of Art & AI.
Playform Studio Member Mattia Cuttini spent the day with Dynamo Camp, “a recreational therapy camp, the first in Italy specially structured to host sick children, in therapy or in the post-hospitalization period.”
Dynamo Art Factory, a sector of Dynamo Camp, offers “children and teenagers an engaging, stimulating and inclusive experience of confrontation art. The activities of Art Factory follow the Dynamo Recreational Therapy approach and are led by established artists of the contemporary scene.” Through the creative and uplifting processes of art-making, campers were guided by Cuttini on making a collaborative AI masterpiece, inspired by Cuttini’s series, “Defined Undefined.” In this series, Cuttini had created a series of ink and rubber stamp designs on paper, which he inputted into Playform AI.
Likewise, Cuttini taught the children to create their own unique rubber stamp designs, which would be then be run through Playform AI to create new collaborative works that incorporate all of the individual designs.
“Mattia Cuttini is the first ‘digital artist’ who took part in Art Factory session at Triennale Milano. With his Liquid Maps, Mattia involved the children in a colorful workshop where artworks were created with rubber stamp technique. Each child created their own set of wooden stamps. With this handcrafted and personalized tool, the children were able to experiment with the chromatic variations obtained with different intensities of stamping. The many pieces produced during the workshop will then be elaborated using an artificial intelligence software, Playform AI, which will mix the graphic information to generate completely new and unpredictable works. The synthesis taken from these images will be unique and unrepeatable pieces that will have their own life and visibility ad digital works in special platform.”

Cuttini is in the process of training the AI from the campers’ works, keep a look out for the final results!
